Oak Wood School is looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to join our Inclusion team from September 2023. This is a very exciting time to join our community as the Inclusion team is expanding to meet our commitments as a truly inclusive school that embraces all aspects of comprehensive education. The successful candidate will be patient, reliable and sensitive to the needs of our pupils.  You will show an enthusiasm and commitment to supporting learning.  A good sense of humour and an ability to work as part of a close-knit team is essential.

The role will involve supporting students both in class and through interventions, individually and in small groups. We have a number of vacancies available across the curriculum, including within Humanities, English, Modern Foreign Languages, as well as Art and Design departments. You will work closely with the Head of Department and teachers to support pupils to make progress in their learning. Subject related qualifications or experience would be desirable and there are clear progression routes and training opportunities for the right applicant.

NJC Point 5-6 Pro rata (actual salary £19,110-£19,424 p.a.)

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus one week
Required as soon as possible
