*The AHT i/c behaviour will decide if the above criteria have been met and set the above sanctions in consultation with the Head of School. 

 

Seclusion Level 2 and Fixed Term Exclusion require a reintegration meeting with parents/carers and the pupil. The school reserves the right to educate pupils in seclusion until this meeting has taken place. 

 

 

 

The Head of School will decide the level based on the severity of the issue and the pupil’s previous record. 

 

The following will always result in a decision to exclude:

 

·       Possession of a weapon or items that may be used as weapons.

·       Possession of or use of illegal drugs.

·       Violence towards staff 

Isolation: Pupils can be isolated for individual lessons or a series of lessons by agreement between the LOLP/LOLC and the Pastoral Support Manager and AHT Behaviour. This may be an option where respite is needed from a particular lesson where behaviour issues have occurred. The AHT behaviour will manage these arrangements.

Detention registers will be provided by the non-teaching Pastoral Team. They will be handed back to this team and escalations will be managed administratively by this team.
